Job Description

Under the supervision of the Assistant Provost for Institutional Effectiveness (IE), works collaboratively with other professional staff in IE to advance the University’s continuous improvement efforts. Assists in the development, implementation, and data analysis of national and institutional level surveys and assists in the implementation of the University’s course evaluation process. Assists in the review and implementation of assessment strategies related to academic degree programs, administrative units, academic program review, and general education assessment. Helps with regional accreditation and state mandates regarding institutional effectiveness. Assists in the establishment and implementation of assessment goals and strategies for the unit.

Required Qualifications

• Master’s degree in a related field such as Educational Research or Evaluation, or a master’s degree with experience in a field related to institutional research, assessment, or program evaluation.
• Knowledge of measurement, data analysis, research design, and survey methodologies.
• Evidence of independent and creative thinking in research.
• Excellent analytical, quantitative, and communication skills.
• Ability to work in a diverse, collegial, and consultative team environment.

Preferred Qualifications

• Doctoral degree in related field.
• Experience in outcomes assessment and related activities in higher education.
• Experience with processes involved with IRB project approval.
• Experience with state or regional accreditation requirements related to institutional effectiveness.
• Working knowledge of SAS, SPSS, R, or comparable statistical analysis program.
• Experience with business intelligence tools (e.g., MicroStrategy, PowerBI), survey software platforms (e.g., QuestionPro, Qualtrics), and/or course evaluation software (e.g., Course Evaluations and Surveys, Explorance Blue).
