Chair and Associate Professor/Professor

Job Summary:

Chair and Associate Professor/Professor for Mathematical and Physical Science department to provide academic and administrative leadership and to manage the work of the Department. The Chair and Associate Professor/Professor leads the strategic initiatives of the department. In addition to teaching, specific duties and responsibilities include: budget oversight; curriculum development and implementation; recruitment, professional development, and evaluation of faculty; hiring, mentoring and supervision of faculty and staff; scheduling; communication of University and divisional policies and practices to the Department; representation of the College of Liberal Arts and Applied Science to the University and broader public. Minimum Qualifications:

Tenured Associate or Full Professor in the College of Liberal Arts & Applied Science at Miami University. An excellent record of accomplishment in teaching, service and research.

Desired Qualifications:

Consideration may be given to candidates with a current appointment in the Mathematical & Physical Science Department. Administrative experiences suggesting a demonstrated ability to lead an academic department.
