Assistant Clinical Lecturer (non-tenure track)

Job Summary:

Assistant Clinical Lecturer (non-tenure track) to teach, advise students, and provide service to the institution and the discipline. As part of these responsibilities, the Assistant Clinical Lecturer will develop and revise syllabi for assigned nursing courses; maintain records documenting student achievement in nursing courses; maintain clinical expertise in nursing practice; teach clinicals; serve on departmental, campus, division and/or university committees; evaluate own teaching effectiveness and contribute to evaluation of the nursing curriculum and individual courses; provide academic and career advising according to the department’s approach. Full-time on campus teaching is required, and may also include on-line coursework as needed by the department. Position is not eligible for tenure and begins August 2024.

Minimum Qualifications:

Master’s degree in nursing; current unencumbered licensure as a registered nurse in State of Ohio, minimum of five years’ active practice in nursing.

Desired Qualifications:

Consideration may be given to Nurse Practitioners with 5 years’ experience as an advanced practice nurse, individuals with previous teaching experience in undergraduate or graduate nursing programs, or those who have a strong clinical background in medical-surgical nursing or nursing leadership.
