Job Summary:

Center Support Specialist to build and maintain the Center for Teaching Excellence's technology presence in a variety of mediums, including websites, videos, photography, social media, servers, databases, & printed materials by applying a range of technical, programming, creative, & artistic skills for internal and external clients.

Duties/Physical Demands:

The Center Support Specialist will design, create, and maintain custom coding and websites for the Center for Teaching Excellence (CTE) and all associated entities (six separate sites and included Filemaker and MySQL databases); Design, deliver, and maintain databases, website, proposal and session assignment systems, printed program and online app for the Original Lilly Conference on College Teaching, and provide on-site technical services and support; Design, create, deploy, and maintain Formstack and Qualtrics forms for the CTE and associated entities; Install, customize, update and maintain the Open Journal System software used for the Journal on Excellence in College Teaching; Manage the social presence of the CTE on Twitter and LinkedIn by researching, composing, scheduling, and posting items of interest; Consult, organize, and deliver CTE's requests for technical support, web content, graphic design, research, and audiovisual matters; Manage, monitor, and make changes as necessary to the CTE virtual server that contains databases, web pages, custom apps and the Open Journal System.

Minimum Qualifications:

Required: Bachelor's degree in Information Technology or closely related field and a minimum of 3 years of related work experience and working knowledge of web development, databases, survey software, and photo editing software.

Desired Qualifications:

Consideration may be given to candidates with good business communication (oral and written) skills. Good teamwork skills. HTML, HTML 5, PHP, Linux Server, XML, MySQL, Adobe Creative Suite (particularly Photoshop and Illustrator), Microsoft Office Suite, Mac OSX, Filemaker, Qualtrics Basics, Formstack, javascript. Strong ability to learn new contexts and skills quickly. Commitment to high-quality work and ability to meet deadlines.
