11.60/hr 

Duration of Appointment:

training on campus May 31 and Camp is June 3-6, 2024

Hours per Week: 30+ hours, no more than 40 per week
Job Summary:

The Department of Global and Intercultural Studies is looking for seven Miami students to be Campus Ambassadors and guides for a summer camp of 100 underrepresented grade and middle school students from Cincinnati and Middletown.

Essential Duties:

Campus Ambassadors will:
- Assist student participants with move-in upon arrival
- Must be available June 3-6th with a training session prior on campus May 31. Housing is not available for May 31
- Must reside in a dormitory with students during the duration of the camp June 3-6
- Facilitate group activities and discussions and serve as an ambassador for Miami

Minimum Qualifications:

Must be available for training on campus May 31.  Housing is not available on campus for May 31.   

Must reside in a dormitory with students during the duration of the camp June 3-6.

Must be able to facilitate group activities, discussions and serve as an ambassador for Miami.

Must be a current Miami student and able to pass a state of Ohio fingerprint background check as you will be working with minors. 

If driving is part of your duties, you must also pass a Department of Motor Vehicles background check.
