About the role
Reporting to the Business Manager, Perioperative and Surgical Technologies, you will be a key contributor within a dynamic sales and clinical support team.
You will take full ownership of your territory, balancing autonomy with strong team connection, and play a meaningful role in driving sustainable growth.
Working closely with general surgeons, specialized surgical teams, nurses, and perioperative support staff, you will provide expert clinical support, technical guidance, and hands-on product knowledge. Your role ensures that surgeons and healthcare teams can rely on you for both routine and complex procedures, spanning the breadth of general and other surgical specialties.
Your ability to build deep, meaningful relationships will help advance business objectives, while your solution‑oriented mindset will keep you focused on outcomes that benefit customers, patients, and the broader team. Whether working independently or alongside colleagues, you’ll contribute to a culture grounded in trust, collaboration, determination and continuous improvement.
Core Responsibilities
- Provide preoperative and intraoperative support across multiple surgical specialties.
- Offer technical guidance on surgical devices, instruments, and perioperative technologies.
- Collaborate with clinical teams to evaluate and implement optimal solutions for individual patient needs.
- Deliver ongoing training, mentorship, and support to surgical staff regarding new technologies or procedural updates.
- Maintain accurate documentation of surgical product usage and clinical interactions.
- Engage in continuous professional development to stay current with industry and surgical advancements.
What you bring:
- Extensive knowledge of general surgery and related surgical specialties.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills to foster effective collaboration with surgeons and nursing teams.
- Exceptional problem-solving abilities in fast-paced and high-pressure surgical settings.
- Demonstrated ability to balance multiple priorities and adapt to both specialty and routine surgical demands.
- Commitment to patient safety, clinical excellence, and professional integrity.
This role is Auckland based and has a North Island travel component.
You will be provided with a competitive base salary, including a bonus based on deliverables, a car allowance and fuel card, and medical insurance.

Requirements
- Minimum 3–5 years’ experience in medical devices or relevant clinical experience
- Ability to comprehend complex medical procedures, translate technical knowledge effectively, and provide clinical/procedural support
- Solid understanding of New Zealand hospital systems, procurement processes, and regulatory requirements
- Hold a valid NZ driver’s licence
