YOUR ROLE

Reporting to one of our experienced Category Managers, your primary objective will be to support the sustainable growth of various categories through technical support of day-to-day activities, new product development and introductions, relevant marketing strategies, brand-building, and a range of management activities.

In this role, you will be responsible for assisting with the execution of range strategy and development, building, and maintaining relationships with suppliers and manufacturers, administration of product and system integrity, assisting with product quotations and tenders, analysis and review of supplier & customer pricing, better buying and supplier negotiation, category and market reporting and analysis, and providing marketing support where needed.

You will work closely with other internal teams, including Sales, Procurement, Inventory, Finance, and Operations, to ensure the smooth and efficient operation of the relevant departments. You will also attend meetings with suppliers to maintain a close understanding of mutual business opportunities.

ABOUT YOU

To be successful in this position, you will need to have a creative and driven nature, coupled with your ability to learn, and adapt quickly in a fast-paced environment.

You will require some relevant experience in a similar role or recently completed university studies in marketing, purchasing, logistics, supply chain, or general business. You should have demonstrated excellent verbal and written communication skills, sound analytical ability, effective time and resource management skills, and a strong customer service focus.

Experience in the use of MS Office, with a particular focus on Excel, Word, and PowerPoint, and the ability to work in a dynamic team environment is also essential. You should have a can-do attitude, be able to use initiative, and build strong relationships with key stakeholders across the business (inventory, marketing, finance, supply chain, sales teams and customer Service).
