The Opportunity

Bunzl is seeking a Field Testing Officer to join our Rutherford team, undertaking inspections, testing and maintenance of lifting, rigging and height safety equipment.

Reporting to the Branch Manager, you'll work across customer sites and in-house operations, ensuring equipment is inspected and tested in accordance with relevant Australian Standards and company procedures.

This is a hands-on technical position combining field service, equipment testing, fault identification and direct customer engagement.

Your Role

• Conduct on-site and in-house inspections and testing of lifting, rigging and height safety equipment.
• Inspect, troubleshoot and repair customer equipment, including assisting with installations where required.
• Prepare accurate inspection reports and maintain customer asset records using company systems.
• Provide technical advice to customers regarding equipment condition, testing requirements and repairs.
• Maintain testing equipment and calibration records while working in accordance with safety and quality procedures.

About You

We're looking for someone with strong mechanical aptitude, attention to detail and the ability to work independently while maintaining professional customer relationships.

To succeed in this role, you'll bring:

• A current driver's licence and a sound understanding of workplace health and safety requirements.
• Mechanical aptitude and the ability to inspect, identify faults and resolve technical issues.
• Strong communication skills and confidence dealing directly with customers.
• Good computer skills, including Microsoft Office, and the ability to maintain accurate records.
• Strong organisation and time management skills, with the flexibility to work outside standard business hours when required.

Experience in field service, mining, construction or engineering will be highly regarded. A mechanical or trade background, knowledge of lifting and rigging equipment, or a Dogging or Rigging licence would also be advantageous.
