Lower Molonglo Water Quality Control Centre:
Seymour Whyte, in a Joint Venture with Vinci Grande Projects and Beca, have been selected by ICON water to embark on the Design and Construct upgrade of the Lower Molonglo Water Quality Control Centre (LMWQCC), the ACT’s primary wastewater treatment facility and the largest of its kind in inland Australia. This 4-year project will modernise the plant’s solids handling system while preparing for future growth and potential updates to air emission standards. Located near central Canberra, the project will enhance and support the region’s critical infrastructure.

About the role:
The Project Administrator role at Seymour Whyte focuses on providing comprehensive administrative and commercial support to project teams, emphasizing safe delivery, collaboration, and integrity. This position demands proficiency in job costing, purchasing, and project documentation to ensure efficient site operations and project progress.
- Core responsibilities include site administration, duties include reception, mail handling, filing, minute taking, data entry, purchasing for site needs, and maintaining vehicle, plant, and equipment registers.
- Involves managing project leave registers, coordinating meetings, travel arrangements, and maintaining project files.
- Financial and commercial support tasks, such as inputs delivery dockets, orders, subcontractor details, and invoices into the job costing system, checks invoice authorizations, assists with valuation of progress claims, claim preparation, and project cost forecasting.
- Coordinate site-based travel, accommodation, and relocation arrangements.
About you:
- Candidates should have demonstrated exposure to job costing, purchasing and accounts ideally within the construction industry.
- Certificate III in Business Administration or similar
- High level of data entry skills.
- Viewpoint or similar job costing program experience.
- Driver’s license.
