Seymour Whyte is inviting expressions of interest from Site Engineers and Project Engineers for a potential major civil project in Brisbane’s northern suburbs.
The 1.5 years project includes roadworks, drainage, earthworks, pavements, and concrete bridgeworks. We are looking for experienced engineers who are passionate about delivering quality outcomes and enjoy working as part of a team.
Roles Available and Key Responsibilities:
- Site Engineer/s
- A Structures Engineer with concrete bridgeworks experience and a Civil Engineer with a background in roadworks, earthworks, drainage or pavements.
- Provide day-to-day technical support on-site for construction activities.
- Assist with planning, scheduling, and coordination of site activities.
- Oversee quality control and ensure work is completed in accordance with design specifications.
- Monitor project progress and report on performance to senior management.
- Project Engineer/s
- Civil Engineer/s with experience in roadworks, including earthworks, drainage, or pavements.
- Manage specific aspects of the project, including cost control, scheduling, and subcontractor management.
- Collaborate with the project team and stakeholders to ensure project milestones are met.
- Provide technical guidance and support for site teams.
- Assist in the preparation and review of project documentation and reports.
About You:
- You hold a Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering.
- You have hands-on experience in roadworks (earthworks, drainage, or pavements) or bridgeworks (concrete structures).
- You are a highly organised individual who thrives in a collaborative team environment.
- You bring a strong understanding of construction methodologies, project planning, and safety practices.
- You are proactive, solution-focused, and keen to develop your career within the civil engineering sector.
