With a strong presence in Western Sydney, and multiple live projects, we have a new opportunity for a Traffic Manager who is interested in joining our growing team in Western Sydney.  In this role, you will deliver engineering design and coordination of all traffic management activities within a project.

About the role:

  • Determine required scope and arrange procurement of all materials (signage/barriers, etc.) required to implement TGS / TCPs.
  • Compile tender documentation, assess quotes, risk assess and make recommendations on the supply of materials or subcontract of traffic management services within budget and per required specifications.
  • Manage self-performed and subcontracted traffic management activities to ensure performance in line with project requirements, including in relation to safety, quality, environmental and community relations objectives.
  • Maintain an up-to-date assessment of the road conditions (existing and new) and ensure that the TGS / TCP's consider the road condition assessments.
  • Prepare and forward traffic modelling and analysis requests and action results.
  • Ensure all traffic management measures are planned, implemented and maintained in accordance with best practice, including all relevant safety regulations and State or Client standards and guidelines.
  • Contribute to the preparation of the temporary traffic management designs, inclusive of general arrangement and detailed design drawings, which comply with relevant standards.

The successful applicant will have the following skills and experience:

  • Significant experience in civil construction traffic management, preferably in a principle contractor environment.
  • Formal qualifications relating to traffic management design, implementation and audit.
  • Demonstrated experience leading a team, including managing subcontractors.
  • Familiarity with client specifications and contracting methods.
  • Flexibility to work at night and on weekends to accommodate traffic switches and closures.
  • Prepare Work Zone Traffic Management Card (or equivalent to your relevant to your State).
  • In-depth knowledge of temporary traffic management principles and processes.
  • Ability to write Traffic Management Plans.
