We are a successful civil contracting business who has been operating in Australia for over 35 years. With the agility and personal connection of a Tier 2, yet the expertise of a Tier 1, and the enhanced resources of one of the largest, world-class construction companies, VINCI, our employees and clients get the best of three worlds.
We’re looking for an experienced Regional Commercial Manager to provide strategic leadership and oversight of the commercial function across all projects in our Northern Region. This is a senior role, balancing precontracts and operational support, where you’ll play a key part in securing projects on favourable commercial terms and driving successful delivery outcomes.
As the Regional Commercial Manager, you’ll lead commercial input across tenders, ensuring risk is clearly defined, appropriately priced, and manageable through delivery. You’ll oversee the development and implementation of commercial strategies, guide teams on contractual matters, and maintain robust governance from tender through to project close-out.
Your ability to mentor and uplift capability within the commercial team will be critical. You’ll work closely with senior leaders across Precontracts, Delivery, Legal, Finance, and Risk to achieve project and business objectives, while fostering strong relationships with clients and partners during tendering and negotiation phases.
As a progressive, leading civil engineering firm built on the strong foundations of our unique history, we engage, enable and empower our people to be better. With you, we are altogether stronger, in building the future we want.
About you:
- Tertiary qualifications in Accounting (with CPA), Civil Engineering, Law or Quantity Surveying, and 15+ years of commercial experience in construction.
- A deep understanding of relevant legal and regulatory requirements.
- Strong communication, negotiation, and leadership skills, with the ability to influence and build trust across multiple stakeholders.
- A proven track record in leading commercial teams, driving compliance, and managing risk in high-value projects.
- Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office, especially Excel.
We have a range of additional benefits available for our employees:
- Health & Wellbeing – discounted health insurance, seasonal vaccinations, wellness discounts, fertility benefit and employee assistance program (EAP).
- Time for life / Work life balance – birthday leave, purchased leave program, paid parental leave and flexible work arrangements.
- Financial wellbeing – competitive remuneration, annual performance bonuses, salary continuance insurance and employee share program.
- Career development – training, mentoring programs, and leadership development program.
Many of our projects are located in regional areas, therefore all applicants must hold a current Driver’s Licence and have their own transport.
