Job Summary:

The Department of Family and Community Medicine at SUNY Downstate Health Sciences University is seeking a full-time Clinical Assistant Professor (HS). The successful candidate will:
- Devote full-time effort to direct patient care in the clinic (outpatient) and inpatient settings.
- Provide six sessions a week (three days) of direct patient care at out Empire location and provide teaching and supervision of residents and medical students four sessions (two days) a week, while participating in the department's inpatient service.
- Contribute to the growth and revenue of Family and Community Medicine at Empire; our goal is to increase visit volume to 15,000.
- As the clinician, solely dedicated to clinical care will increase UHD patient volume, patient panels, access and revenue.
- Supervise resident and medical student clinical care and provide direct patient care, which will give our patients the option of seeing a physician outside of the teaching physician setting.
- Help to maintain our quality metrics, value based revenue programs and improve patient experience.
