Department/School overview:

Founded in 1966, Criminal Justice currently offers a bachelor’s (BS), a minor, and a master’s (MA) in Criminal Justice. The program serves more than 600 students. Approximately 40 percent of BS graduates go on to attend law school or graduate school. Thousands of graduates of the program have gone onto jobs in victim services, policing, law and courts, corrections, and research. Faculty in the program are committed to excellence in teaching, research, and service.

The Conflict Management program is built around certificate offerings at both the undergraduate and graduate levels, emphasizing experiential learning and the development of practical skills. The program has been around for more than 20 years and continues to support students across a broad range of academic disciplines and from 35 different majors. The program has seen a significant increase of 100% in student enrollment over the last 4 years and is continuing to grow. The program's mission, to prepare students to be confident, capable, and resilient leaders who can effectively navigate conflict in professional and personal life, and experiential nature, resonate with students.
