The Senior Admissions Counselor and Transfer Recruitment Manager is responsible for coordinating and implementing transfer student recruitment strategies, enrollment initiatives, and partnerships designed to increase undergraduate transfer enrollment and support student success. The Senior Admissions Counselor role requires an experienced professional who is capable of working with a high level of autonomy to successfully expand Boise State’s recruitment efforts.

Boise State Undergraduate Admissions recruits and admits prospective undergraduate students in support of the university’s enrollment goals, with work spanning recruitment, communications, campus visits, and application processing. The team focuses on connecting with prospective students across Idaho and beyond through strategic, data-informed outreach and strong partnerships with schools and communities.
About This Role: The Admissions Counselor serves as a front-line representative of Boise State, building relationships with prospective students and families through advising, presentations, and personalized outreach. This role manages a recruitment territory, travels to key markets, and uses student data and trends to guide outreach efforts and support enrollment goals.

| Essential Functions: |
60% of Time the Senior Admissions Counselor and Transfer Recruitment Manager must:
- Provide prospective transfer students with guidance on academic programs, degree options, and university policies, and connect them with resources for detailed academic planning.
- Utilize students’ academic background, current enrollment, and planned coursework to guide them through the transfer student process.
- Collaborate with academic advising and support services to ensure students are connected to appropriate academic resources.
- Provide accurate information regarding admission and transfer credit policies, academic programs and degrees, career and special services, financial aid and scholarships, university housing, and other opportunities available at Boise State.
- Travel to represent Boise State at community colleges, college and career fairs, high schools, as well as community and educational agencies.
- Use transfer enrollment data to identify opportunities and develop recruitment initiatives aimed at increasing undergraduate transfer enrollment.
- Stay informed of transfer student research and best practices to enhance recruitment initiatives targeting transfer students.
- Serve as a subject-matter resource by offering feedback and recommendations to support the transfer student communication plan
- Plan and implement communication strategies for transfer students and families using multiple channels such as the admissions website, student portals, landing pages, telecounseling, direct mail, text messaging, and email. Maintain positive contact with prospective students from the point of inquiry through enrollment.
- Create, coordinate, and implement events designed to recruit undergraduate transfer students to Boise State.
- Establish and maintain strong working relationships with Boise State colleagues and key external partners, including Boise State Enrollment Service Offices, Boise State Advising and Academic Support Center, community college transfer center coordinators and academic advisors, community college administrative staff, and professional educators.
- Provide supervision and guidance to student staff supporting transfer recruitment.
35% of Time Senior Admissions Counselor and Transfer Recruitment Manager must:
- Effectively use university data systems to provide high-quality customer service, support campus visits, and analyze data to inform decisions.
- Collaborate with the Senior Admissions Counselor and Event Manager to coordinate and support transfer recruitment events.
- Maintain timely written and verbal follow-up with internal and external customers.
- Model a strong customer service ethic while collaborating with campus support offices.
- Complete recruitment, scheduling, travel, and special program reports.
- Participate in department, division, and university committees related to transfer student recruitment and enrollment.
- Adhere to university policies and procedures related to travel and procurement.
5% of Time Senior Admissions Counselor and Transfer Recruitment Manager must:
- Perform other duties as assigned.

| Minimum Qualifications: |
Bachelor’s Degree and 2 years of professional experience or equivalent relevant experience.

Preferred Qualifications:
|
- Strong public speaking experience
- Experience in college or university admissions, or a related higher education field
- Experience with event planning and management

| Salary and Benefits: |
