Position Overview:
The Boise State University Department of Management, within the College of Business and Economics, is hiring a tenure-track Assistant or Associate level faculty member in the area of Human Resource Management (HR), starting Spring 2027 or Fall 2027. Applicants should possess knowledge of current best practices in HR and in research methods.
Our department and college value both teaching and research, so a strong candidate will have both a stream of research in progress and the aspiration to excel as a teacher. This position will teach undergraduate and/or graduate courses in HR in face-to-face and online formats. New hires come in with a 2-2 teaching load guaranteed for the first three years. While the standard teaching load is 3-3, most faculty retain a 2-2 teaching load through reasonable research productivity, as defined by our workload policy. A commitment to service and collegial interaction with other faculty, staff, and students is also highly desirable.

The Department of Management hosts three majors in the College of Business and Economics, with ~ 850 students majoring in Business Administration, Management, or Human Resource Management.
