Job Summary/Basic Function:

This position will coordinate Athletic Department events and outside rental events held in Athletic facilities. They will also help manage facility scheduling and calendars for special events in all athletic department facilities.

Level Scope:

Entry-level professional with limited or no prior experience to contribute to a project or work team. Incumbent learns to use professional concepts to resolve problems of limited scope and complexity under close supervision while achieving day-to-day objectives. Works on developmental assignments that are initially routine in nature, requiring limited judgment and decision-making. This level is typically focused on self-development. Requires theoretical knowledge through specific education and training.

Essential Functions:

● Plan, manage, and execute athletic department events for the Bronco Athletic Association (to include Bi-Annual Auction, Dinner on the Blue, Hall of Fame Induction, Lyle Smith Society Events, and other internal and external events, etc.).
● Communicate regularly with the Bronco Athletic Association to determine event dates, details, and goals and use that information to plan and execute logistics related to all Bronco Athletic Association donor and Board events.
● Maintain event schedules, coordinate the event planning and approval process, assist in administering facility and event management policies under the supervision of the Assistant AD of Events.
● Manage the execution of Bronco Athletic Association (BAA) membership benefits associated with special events.
● Serve as the designated hospitality liaison for football and basketball game day for all home and specified away-from-home requests.
● Supervise event staff working rental events to ensure proper management of events.
● Responsible for overseeing and securing areas of assignment on a predetermined schedule. This includes turning out the lights and locking the doors of the entire facility once the event is complete.
● Responsible for fostering and maintaining strong relationships with campus partners, donors, and community members.
● Assist the department’s event team, as assigned, for both internal and external group events in all athletic department facilities.
● This position will be required to work nights and weekends to cover all necessary and assigned events and rentals held in our athletics facilities.
● Perform other duties as assigned.

Knowledge, Skills, Abilities:

● Client-facing and customer service expertise, including effective and professional oral and written communication, as well as confident interpersonal interaction.
● Knowledge of event scheduling methods, facility use agreements, and the event planning process.
● Ability to make quick, rational decisions.
● Working knowledge and understanding of all NCAA rules and regulations regarding compliance issues.
● Knowledge of event scheduling methods, event planning documentation and systems, facility use agreements, and event planning process.
● Knowledge of NCAA rules and regulations.

Minimum Qualifications:

Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent relevant professional experience.

Preferred Qualifications:

● One (1)+ years of experience with event planning, production, and management.
● One (1)+ years of experience working in a collegiate or professional sports setting.
● One (1)+ years of experience with client-facing customer service.

Salary and Benefits:
