The Second Assistant Coach is responsible for aiding the Head Coach in administering a competitive NCAA Division III intercollegiate field hockey program. This position supports the development of student-athletes through mentorship, guidance, leadership opportunities, community building, and a commitment to social justice. The Assistant Coach focuses primarily in the areas of skill development, training, along with planning and directing recruitment. This is a professional assistant coaching position, and all of the duties of the position must be conducted in adherence with the policies, rules, and regulations of affiliated national, regional, and state intercollegiate athletic associations, the NCAA, the NESCAC Conference, and the College. In addition to their instructional duties, assistant coaches work in partnership with the Office of Admission to recruit, admit, and enroll an academically and athletically talented and diverse team of students.

The primary responsibility of the Coordinator will be providing clinical case management for students with complex health concerns. The position will assist with various recruitment projects assigned according to previous experiences and program needs. The Assistant Coach will have significant night and weekend commitments. The Assistant Coach will also have responsibilities to support the Athletics Department for operational initiatives, referred to as a secondary duty. This position reports to the Head Coach.
