Senior Assistant Dean of the Faculty for Operations Lewiston, ME
The Senior Assistant Dean of the Faculty for Operations is a professional level position that manages the core operations of the Dean of Faculty’s office, working closely with faculty and staff across a range of areas essential to the academic mission of the College. The core operations include faculty budgets, lab and office space across campus, the mechanics of faculty and staff hiring and of tenure and promotion, academic support staff, administering faculty visas, and operational support for Dean of Faculty events and activities.  The position supports the supervision of approximately 35 academic staff, serves in an operational capacity in campus teaching and learning structures, and collaborates with Facility Services to inform faculty and academic staff of maintenance and other physical issues regarding academic buildings.

Fostering the development of student staff through engaged and affirming mentorship and supporting residents in responding to the developmental opportunities of the college environment are areas of focus, in addition to overseeing traditional programming and other residential community building initiatives.

Campus Safety Officer Lewiston, ME
This hands-on position provides direct support for an increasingly diverse Bates College community utilizing excellent customer service skills. Campus Safety Officers will engage and support students, guests and stakeholders from historically underrepresented groups including students of color, LGBTQAIP2+ students, international students, students with disabilities, first-generation college students, and the student organizations dedicated to supporting these students on campus. Transition to Practice Program - Certified Athletic Trainer (ATC) Lewiston, ME
The Bates Sports Medicine Department and Central Maine Healthcare have designed an eleven- month  Transition to Practice program to offer newly credentialed athletic training professionals an opportunity to broaden and enhance their clinical and professional skills as they continue to develop their practice. The Certified Athletic Trainer (ATC) supports intercollegiate athletics and is responsible for the care and wellbeing of student-athletes through the provision of athletic training services including testing, evaluation, assignment of training regimens, and treatment of injuries, rehabilitation and medical referrals.  The ATC works directly with student-athletes to provide care, education, counseling, evaluation, treatment and rehab of athletic injuries and illnesses both on campus and at game venues.  The ATC must follow the athletic philosophy consistent with that of the Bates Athletic Department, NESCAC and NCAA.  The Office of Athletic Performance celebrates and honors difference, engages students of all backgrounds and strives to ensure accessible services for all student-athletes.
Second Cook Lewiston, ME
As a second cook, this position will primarily work in student dining providing approximately 5000 meals per day to the students, faculty, staff and guests of the college who dine in Commons. They are also called upon to prepare items for catered events as needed.
