Cook's Assistant (FT, FY) Lewiston, ME
Bates Dining, Conferences and Campus Events oversees all student dining and is also the College’s catering provider. Staff holding a Cook's Assistant position primarily work in student dining providing approximately 5000 meals per day to the students, faculty, staff and guests of the college who dine in Commons. They are also called upon to prepare items for catered events as needed.
Transition to Practice Program - Certified Athletic Trainer (ATC) Lewiston, ME
The Bates Sports Medicine Department and Central Maine Healthcare have designed an eleven- month  Transition to Practice program to offer newly credentialed athletic training professionals an opportunity to broaden and enhance their clinical and professional skills as they continue to develop their practice. The Certified Athletic Trainer (ATC) supports intercollegiate athletics and is responsible for the care and wellbeing of student-athletes through the provision of athletic training services including testing, evaluation, assignment of training regimens, and treatment of injuries, rehabilitation and medical referrals.  The ATC works directly with student-athletes to provide care, education, counseling, evaluation, treatment and rehab of athletic injuries and illnesses both on campus and at game venues.  The ATC must follow the athletic philosophy consistent with that of the Bates Athletic Department, NESCAC and NCAA.  The Office of Athletic Performance celebrates and honors difference, engages students of all backgrounds and strives to ensure accessible services for all student-athletes.
Information Systems Manager Lewiston, ME
The Information Systems Manager is a critical component of the Admission department’s technical and operational infrastructure. This position has multifaceted functions responsible for managing Slate, the Admission Customer Relations Management (CRM) system that processes all applications and drives recruitment, enrollment, yield, and communication campaigns. Additionally, the role designs and maintains automated workflows for application review, decision release, and enrollment data synchronization.

The Assistant in Instruction in Biology will specialize in molecular biology, organismal biology, or ecology. The candidate will be involved in piloting experiments or learning activities for course-associated labs. This position will also assist with preparing laboratory activities in various BIO 195 (CURE) and Short Term courses in addition to occasional upper-level courses when applicable.

The Custodian position at Bates College is responsible for the general appearance and cleanliness of assigned areas and building, including housekeeping services for student residences. This position includes both routine work such as waste removal, such as dusting, mopping, and vacuuming floor surfaces, cleaning restrooms, restocking consumables and non- routine work such as window and wall washing, snow shoveling and sanding of walks, steps and porches.

Bates Dining, Conferences and Campus Events is the food service provider for the campus, which includes a catering component. This position primarily performs catering related duties. This position calls for someone who has an eye for detail, understands customer service, and possesses the ability to work independently. The ability to work well with others from diverse backgrounds and exemplary organizational, communication, and time management skills are a must. This position is on-call and works as needed.
