We are seeking an experienced and reliable Trade Assistant to join our Asset & Logistics Division in a full-time, town-based position.

This is an excellent opportunity for a hands-on individual who takes pride in their work, operates equipment safely and can confidently support trades, workshop and logistics operations.

Working as part of an experienced team, you will provide essential support across our yard, workshop and logistics operations, ensuring equipment, materials and day-to-day activities are managed safely and efficiently.

The role offers stability, variety and ongoing work, with no requirement for FIFO or DIDO.

Key responsibilities:

  • High-volume forklift operation across yard and workshop environments
  • Loading and unloading trucks, equipment, parts and materials
  • Supporting trades with assembly, dismantling and general workshop activities
  • Spotter duties and safe movement of vehicles and equipment
  • General labouring, housekeeping and yard maintenance
  • Maintaining a clean, organised and safe work environment
  • Completing job paperwork, risk assessments and daily documentation
  • Maintaining equipment, vehicles and PPE to company standards
  • Complying with all company safety, environmental and quality requirements

About you:

We are looking for a safety-focused and dependable Trade Assistant who understands the importance of working to a high standard in a fast-paced industrial environment.

The successful applicant will have:

  • MR or HR Driver’s Licence
  • Current LF Forklift Licence
  • Dogging Licence – desirable
  • Minimum 2 years’ relevant industry experience
  • Demonstrated commitment to workplace health and safety
  • Strong practical skills and mechanical aptitude
  • Excellent reliability and work ethic
  • Ability to work effectively both independently and within a team
  • Ability to operate confidently with varying levels of supervision
  • Professional attitude and commitment to delivering quality work
