We are looking for an experienced events specialist to provide event, programme administrative and logistical support!
  • The Talent Development Team formulates and implements policies and initiatives to grow a pipeline of future ready workforce by infusing design into our national skills sets. The policies and initiatives aim to capitalise on the growth opportunities in the 4th Industrial Revolution and to address challenges in skills gaps, using a multiple-pronged approach to cater to the needs of both designers and non-designers across General Education (GE), Pre-Employment Training (PET) and Continuing Education and Training (CET). This position reports to the Assistant Director (TD).   • The Talent Development Team formulates and implements policies and initiatives to grow a pipeline of future ready workforce by infusing design into our national skills sets. The policies and initiatives aim to capitalise on the growth opportunities in the 4th Industrial Revolution and to address challenges in skills gaps, using a multiple-pronged approach to cater to the needs of both designers and non-designers across General Education (GE), Pre-Employment Training (PET) and Continuing Education and Training (CET). This position reports to the Deputy Director (Talent Development). In this role, you will lead the “Talent Policy and Planning” team, in the areas of research and formulation of policies and strategies to grow design talent in both the design and non-design sectors. Your team will also oversee the management of primary and secondary research, course evaluation of design programmes and the development and adoption of the Skills Framework for Design.
  • You will be responsible for building and facilities maintenance (FM), all cyclical and asset improvement projects, efficient space utilisation and tenancy management for the National Design Centre. You will work closely with the Programming & Outreach team in Dsg and external vendors like the Managing Agent team to provide value-added support to both internal and external stakeholders.
  • As a HR Business Partner, you will partner with DesignSingapore to develop and execute HR strategies and activities aligned to business objectives. You will need to work closely with the teams you support and be responsible for HR programmes such as recruitment, compensation, performance reviews, learning and career development. You will also advise on organisational design and structure, and provide change leadership. You will also partner with other HR teams in EDB to ensure relevancy of programmes and initiatives and optimal organization alignment.
  • The Deputy Director for the Industry Development Office of the DesignSingapore Council oversees and leads our industry development efforts to groom globally competitive designers and design firms in Singapore, as part of the Council’s mission to develop Singapore into an innovation-driven economy and a loveable city. Initiatives may include internationalisation into Europe and Asia, building a pipeline of young designers, proliferation of good design practice, seeding good design research, supporting functional business needs and strengthening design associations.
