Current Opportunities

  • This position reports to Deputy Executive Director (Dsg)/Director (Talent Development) and Executive Director (Dsg). In this role, you will lead the XPO in the formulation and implementation of strategies, programmes and initiatives to grow a pool of design integrators, scaling up of public sector transformation initiatives and promoting the co-creation of innovative ideas for social and community challenges via the SoX platform. Your team will help to develop the capabilities of public service agencies, citizens and businesses to use design-led creative thinking approach as a tool for innovation as well as to provide sustaining support through open resources and community of practices (CoP).
  • This position reports to the Director (School of X Programme Office). In this role, you will design, develop and implement the School of X (SoX) programme to develop a sustainable pipeline of design integrators and to equip our public services agencies, citizens and business with design-led creative skills to solve social and community challenges.
  • About the Programming and Outreach Department To position Singapore as a loveable city by design, the Programming & Outreach team creates experiences that celebrate the Singapore design brand and translate the value and impact of design through programmes that are accessible for all. We realise this through the President*s Design Award, the nation’s highest design accolade; Singapore Design Week, Asia’s premier design festival; and programmes at the National Design Centre, a hub of creativity and imagination.
  • You will be responsible for building and facilities maintenance (FM), efficient space utilisation and tenancy management for DesignSingapore Council Pte. Ltd. You will work closely with the FM team and external vendors to provide value-added support to stakeholders. You may be required to review existing internal processes and policies, propose and implement procedural changes to improve operations in the course of the work.
  • As a HR Business Partner, you will partner with DesignSingapore to develop and execute HR strategies and activities aligned to business objectives. You will need to work closely with the teams you support and be responsible for HR programmes such as recruitment, compensation, performance reviews, learning and career development. You will also advise on organisational design and structure, and provide change leadership. You will also partner with other HR teams in EDB to ensure relevancy of programmes and initiatives and optimal organization alignment.
  • As a Project Officer in the Talent Development Team (Design Education), you will have the opportunity to develop and spearhead policies and programmes to nurture design skillsets and sensibilities in our next generation. You will work closely with stakeholders such as schools, companies, designers and government agencies to influence design education policies and programmes. In addition, you will also be involved in projects such as coordinating a research study, as well as implementing a design education advisory committee.
  • The Deputy Director for the Industry Development Office of the DesignSingapore Council oversees and leads our industry development efforts to groom globally competitive designers and design firms in Singapore, as part of the Council’s mission to develop Singapore into an innovation-driven economy and a loveable city. Initiatives may include internationalisation into Europe and Asia, building a pipeline of young designers, proliferation of good design practice, seeding good design research, supporting functional business needs and strengthening design associations.
  • The Director for Communications, Marketing & Outreach of the DesignSingapore Council oversees and leads the International Marketing, Programming & Outreach and Communications and International Relations teams, as part of the Council’s mission to develop Singapore into an innovation-driven economy and a loveable city. Initiatives may include implementing programmes and activities for DSG’s international and local marketing efforts, and overseeing its media and marketing communications efforts.
