  • Are you passionate about creating and delivering impactful engagement platforms and programmes? As design experience makers, the DesignSingapore Council’s Programming and Outreach (PO) unit creates delightful experiences for everyone to participate in and embrace design, to achieve our vision of Singapore as a Loveable City by Design. We are looking for an experienced events specialist to provide event, programme administrative and logistical support!
  • The Talent Development Team formulates and implements policies and initiatives to grow a pipeline of future ready workforce by infusing design into our national skills sets. The policies and initiatives aim to capitalise on the growth opportunities in the 4th Industrial Revolution and to address challenges in skills gaps, using a multiple-pronged approach to cater to the needs of both designers and non-designers across General Education (GE), Pre-Employment Training (PET) and Continuing Education and Training (CET). This position reports to the Assistant Director (TD). In this role, you will support the administration of the SkillsFuture Study Award, the DesignSingapore (Dsg) Scholarship and provide centralised support to other TD’s administrative and logistical matters. You may also be given opportunities to be exposed to various aspects of policy and planning matters for TD’s programmes and gain better understanding of Dsg’s human capital initiatives.

In this role, you will lead the “Talent Policy and Planning” team, in the areas of research and formulation of policies and strategies to grow design talent in both the design and non-design sectors. Your team will also oversee the management of primary and secondary research, course evaluation of design programmes and the development and adoption of the Skills Framework for Design.
  • The Market Development Department works with both Singapore companies and MNCs to facilitate the implementation of design for business strategy and organisation transformation, through establishing partnerships and connections. As the Assistant Director, Market Development, he/she is responsible for implementation and review of the Innovation by Design framework and development of any new programmes to help Singapore enterprises and public sector agencies to innovate using design for strategy and organisational transformation. This is part of the Council’s mission to develop Singapore into an innovation-driven economy and a loveable city.
  • This position reports to Deputy Executive Director (Dsg)/Director (Talent Development) and Executive Director (Dsg). In this role, you will lead the XPO in the formulation and implementation of strategies, programmes and initiatives to grow a pool of design integrators, scaling up of public sector transformation initiatives and promoting the co-creation of innovative ideas for social and community challenges via the SoX platform. Your team will help to develop the capabilities of public service agencies, citizens and businesses to use design-led creative thinking approach as a tool for innovation as well as to provide sustaining support through open resources and community of practices (CoP).
  • About the Programming and Outreach Department To position Singapore as a loveable city by design, the Programming & Outreach team creates experiences that celebrate the Singapore design brand and translate the value and impact of design through programmes that are accessible for all. We realise this through the President*s Design Award, the nation’s highest design accolade; Singapore Design Week, Asia’s premier design festival; and programmes at the National Design Centre, a hub of creativity and imagination.
  • The Deputy Director for the Industry Development Office of the DesignSingapore Council oversees and leads our industry development efforts to groom globally competitive designers and design firms in Singapore, as part of the Council’s mission to develop Singapore into an innovation-driven economy and a loveable city. Initiatives may include internationalisation into Europe and Asia, building a pipeline of young designers, proliferation of good design practice, seeding good design research, supporting functional business needs and strengthening design associations.
