  • To position Singapore as a loveable city by design, the Programming & Outreach team creates experiences that celebrate the Singapore design brand and translate the value and impact of design through programmes that are accessible for all. We realise this through the President*s Design Award, the nation’s highest design accolade; Singapore Design Week, Asia’s premier design festival; and programmes at the National Design Centre, a hub of creativity and imagination.
  • The Talent Development team is looking for interns to join us. During the 12 weeks internship in the Talent Development Department, you will work on the project: • Talent Development and Engagement: To develop Singapore’s design talent through scholarships and SkillsFuture programmes. The area of focus will be (i) managing the community of DesignSingapore Scholarship and SkillsFuture Study Award recipients and (ii) reviewing the SkillsFuture study award.
  • The Talent Development team is looking for interns to join us. During the 12 weeks internship in the Talent Development Department, you will work on the project: • Talent Policy and Planning: Develop and implement research and policy projects, to better steer and inform strategic manpower planning activities. The area of focus will be in the development of a talent dashboard. The intern will design and develop a business intelligence and analytics dashboard, using tools such as Tableau, to support strategic design manpower planning activities, stakeholder engagement and the marketing of talent development programmes.
  • The Talent Development team is looking for interns to join us. During the 12 weeks internship in the Talent Development Department, you will work on the project: • Talent Strategy and New Platforms: Develop and implement new talent initiatives and platforms which will enable cross-sector/transdisciplinary experimentation and coordination. The area of focus is the development of informal and open innovation learning platforms, as well as planning and implementation of experiential real-life challenges workshops using design-led creative thinking and innovation processes.
  • About Talent Development Department The Talent Development Department formulates and implements policies and initiatives to grow a pipeline of future ready workforce by infusing design into our national skills sets. The policies and initiatives aim to capitalise on the growth opportunities in the 4th Industrial Revolution and to address challenges in skills gaps, using a multiple-pronged approach to cater to the needs of both designers and non-designers across General Education (GE), Pre-Employment Training (PET) and Continuing Education and Training (CET).
  • The Talent Development Department formulates and implements policies and initiatives to grow a pipeline of future ready workforce by infusing design into our national skills sets. The policies and initiatives aim to capitalise on the growth opportunities in the 4th Industrial Revolution and to address challenges in skills gaps, using a multiple-pronged approach to cater to the needs of both designers and non-designers across General Education (GE), Pre-Employment Training (PET) and Continuing Education and Training (CET).
  • The Industry Development Office conceptualises and develops strategies and programmes to strengthen the competitiveness of the design sector in order to achieve Singapore’s vision in being an innovation-driven economy and a loveable city through design by 2025.
