Join our team as a Salesforce Engineer, where you'll maintain and optimize the Salesforce platform while collaborating with business and technical leaders to drive efficiency and growth.
About the Role
Reporting to the Head of Enterprise Applications, the Salesforce Engineer is responsible for supporting and maintaining the Salesforce platform, gathering requirements, and recommending improvements. The role involves day-to-day configuration, support, and optimization to ensure efficient use of Salesforce. Working closely with technical and business stakeholders, the engineer will deliver enhancements and ensure the system scales effectively with business growth.
Key Responsibilities:
- Handle all Salesforce administrative functions for user account and profile management including object data security and visibility, permission sets, role hierarchy, page layouts, etc...
- Complete hands-on technical delivery including Salesforce configurations, coding, customisation, integrations and deployments.
- Build reports and dashboards, workflows and other day to day system administration tasks.
- Actively manage the support queue, ensuring resolution of all tickets.
- Perform all regular, periodic maintenance tasks, including user audits, security updates, data backups, event monitoring etc…
- Actively participate within scrum teams to continuously improve and uplift our Salesforce capability.
- Maintain the solutions in Salesforce and packages / products (e.g. Pardot, Skedulo, Docusign etc..)
- Work with the Operations, Community and Shared service teams to work cross-functionally to gather requirements, build and communicate key insights, identify product opportunities and offer recommendations for future improvements.
- Support the Head of Enterprise Applications and wider IT teams by contributing to establishing streamlined processes that support administrative, Jira tickets, development and change management initiatives
- Provide guidance & training to improve adoption of solution components across the organisation
- Create and maintain system documentation, enhancements and supporting materials, keeping up to date in accordance with IT policies, procedure, and standards
- Oversight of vendors completing BAU maintenance, deployments, administration activities and enhancements to ensure they are delivering expected outcomes in line with Yooralla standards and policies
Experience and Capabilities:
- 4+ years of experience in a similar Salesforce Technical position
- Strong understanding of Salesforce best practices and functionality
- Deep technical Knowledge in Salesforce Clouds (Sales & Service Cloud, CPQ, Experience, Marketing)
- High level of experience with Automation Workflows, Visual Flows and Process Builder
- Ability to build/add custom objects, formula fields, triggers, custom views, reports, dashboards, and other features of intermediate-advanced complexity (using Lightning Experience) and deploy through CICD pipeline.
- Advanced experience with Dataloader/XL Connector/WorkbenchDemonstrated experience of effectively managing vendors;
- DevOps experience including use of tools to support CI/CD pipeline.
- Experience with Confluence, Jira and Scrum/Agile working methodologies
- Well-developed analytical, problem solving and decision-making abilities (a solution-oriented mindset and approach to problem solving)
- Experience with integration tools like Jitterbit or Mulesoft
- Demonstrated understanding of underlying client business problems and the ability to develop Salesforce technology-enabled solutions that addresses their needs.
- Understanding of platform authentication patterns (SAML, SSO, OAuth)
