THE ROLE

This is an exciting role in an established technical consulting team supporting a rapidly growing ASX-listed company. This will see you work with new technology and use your innovative thinking to deliver solutions and contribute to the overall success of the business. 

The consulting engineer is responsible for contributing to the successful delivery, profitability and strategic growth of our technical services through alignment with the company’s values, technical excellence and supporting business development. 

The primary aspects of the role include:

  • Civil infrastructure and building condition assessments
  • Site inspection, testing and analysis
  • Materials durability assessments and planning
  • Remediation specifications
  • Corrosion management and cathodic protection design
  • Asset maintenance strategies
  • Supporting our remediation contracting division
  • Working with our Spatial division to deliver 3D reality asset models for digital delivery of condition assessments and defect management
  • Prototype and trial innovative technology solutions to help deliver value to our company and clients
  • Help to lead the digitisation of the business workflow by adopting and utilising new software
  • Report writing
  • Project Management
  • Proposal writing and business development
  • Client relationship management

There will be a requirement for typically short-term travel to sites to fulfill project requirements. 

We have available roles in Brisbane, Perth, Sydney, Adelaide and Melbourne at different levels.

ABOUT YOU

You have relevant experience in a similar role with specific experience in the inspection and assessment of concrete/steel structures.

You have experience with business development and can build positive relationships with clients and understand their needs and expectations. You are proactive and can assess situations to identify potential issues and suggest solutions. You have a combination of technical and practical experience to consult on condition and remediation. You have high attention to detail and pride yourself in your written and verbal communication skills.

Minimum Qualifications

  • Relevant tertiary qualification in Civil / Structural or Materials Engineering, or related field;
  • Relevant experience enabling you to have developed a range of relative knowledge and skills;
  • A current Australian driver’s license
