Responsible for providing support of HSEQ compliance, management plans and procedures across a range of Construction Remediation and Defence projects. This opportunity will see an experienced HSE Advisor stepping into lead an established safety team, overseeing compliance across multiple sites throughout the NT region.

Open to Darwin residents & relocation

Responsibilities

  • Support the divisions leadership team in fostering a positive safety
  • Analyse HSEQ performance, reporting, system updates
  • Advise and educate teams on legislative requirements
  • Investigate incidents and critical risks
  • Liaise with key interested parties regarding HSEQ
  • Drive a safe and healthy work environment
  • Conduct HSEQ site inspections and audits, pre-start meetings and Toolbox meetings
  • Coordinate HSEQ training programs
  • Assist the preparation and implementation of HSEQ documentation
  • Maintaining the company Integrated Management System
  • Creating and reviewing SWMS, JHA’s and conducting Audits

ABOUT YOU

  • Prior experience leading HSEQ in construction and remediation works
  • Tertiary qualifications in Health & Safety or a similar discipline
  • The ability to positively influence, develop and maintain site relationships
  • Ability to self-manage own workload whilst ensuring a project efficiency and a positive team environment.
  • Proven problem-solving capability
  • Excellent attention to detail and the ability to prioritise and manage deadlines
  • Understanding of Quality Management processes
