Projects include a mixture of new build construction, multistorey commercial, and services.

THE ROLE

You will be an experienced project engineer responsible for managing the quality standards, assurance and control to support Infrastructure upgrades and future nuclear submarine capability. The role will involve working at our Balcatta office and onsite SOR near Rockingham.

Responsibilities

  • Tracking of project deliverables as directed by the Project Manager and Quality Manager
  • Plan and coordinate works, equipment and personnel
  • Write technical documentation for both internal and external audiences
  • Preparation of quality assurance documentation in accordance with requirements
  • Assist in development of project specific quality management plan and execution of requirements during project delivery
  • Warranty tracking
  • Ensure compliance of QA documentation with Company requirements and relevant codes / Australian standards
  • Independently manage the production of project documentation
  • Facilitate regular project management meetings

ABOUT YOU

  • Experience within a construction/engineering environment
  • Full project lifecycle experience including planning, procurement, delivery, commissioning and completion
  • Experience delivering projects to program requirements
  • Demonstrated project engineering experience
  • Experience working in a nuclear or radiological construction environment
  • Working knowledge of relevant codes. Australian Standards and ISO 19443
  • Understanding of nuclear safety culture and importance to nuclear safety (ITNS)
  • An understanding of Quality Management processes
  • Inspection/asset management experience
  • Ability to operate autonomously whilst ensuring project efficiency

Qualifications & requirements

  • Triple Bar Nuclear New Build Sites certificate (highly regarded)
  • Tertiary qualification in Engineering
  • White Card
  • Degree in project engineering, project management or other relevant discipline
  • Police clearance due to projects being on a Defence site
  • Ability to meet country of origin and security clearance requirements
