THE ROLE
Be responsible for the overall management of quality implementation; quality assurance and quality control matters to support Infrastructure upgrades and future nuclear submarine capability
Responsibilities
- Develop and implantation of project Quality Management Plan, framework, and aligned with contractual requirements ISO 9001 and ISO 19443 (Radiological compliant facilities)
- Development of project specific QA/QC documentation and procedures
- Train and align the project team and external service providers on quality requirements
- Setup quality control process and inspection systems
- Ensure Document Management System is maintained; project documented information is controlled in accordance with QMP and communication procedures
- Liaise onsite with all subcontractors / suppliers to ensure they are in line with Duratec QA/QC standards
- QA on products sourced overseas in the deployment of client contracts
- Formulate, implement and control MDR documentation and ensure up to date reporting
- Distribution of inspection reports and release certificates
- Ensure awareness and compliance (in conjunction with delivery teams) with nuclear regulatory requirements, as well as applicable Building Codes, Fire, and Electrical standards - both Federal and State.

- Involvement with external QA audits team and maintaining ongoing ISO accreditations
- Assist with support, review and monitoring of teams/systems carrying out field inspections of coatings, weld, fabrication & civil/concrete as part of delivery
- Maintain accuracy of reports and materials certificates entry
- Drive positive QA/QC and Nuclear Safety culture in teams to have quality at font of mind and achieve successful outcomes
ABOUT YOU
- Extensive operational experience within a construction/engineering environment
- Demonstrated experience in stringent change management processes.
- Demonstrated experience working on nuclear construction projects
- Extensive experience in supply chain management, traceability and independent/third party audit of supply chain.
- Leadership skills
- Working knowledge of relevant codes and Australian Standards.
- Demonstrated experience working to ISO 19443 requirements.
- Understanding of nuclear safety culture and importance to nuclear safety (ITNS)
- An understanding of Quality Management processes
Qualifications & requirements
- Degree in project engineering, project management quality management or other relevant discipline
- Police Clearance
- Ability to meet country of origin and Defence security clearance requirements
