Perform accurate and timely processing of transactions, compliance with company policies, and support for internal and external stakeholders.
Responsibilities
Accounts Receivable
- Daily banking and allocation of receipts.
- Process debtor payments, invoices, and credit notes.
- Upload invoices to portal systems.
- Conduct credit checks and set up new customers.
- Prepare and send end-of-month statements.
- Investigate and resolve receivable issues.
Accounts Payable
- High-volume processing of invoices and matching to purchase orders.
- Cost and code invoices, allocating costs to jobs/projects.
- Schedule and process weekly and monthly payments.
- Perform supplier statement reconciliations.
- Liaise with internal stakeholders and suppliers regarding accounts payable matters.
- Handle ad-hoc finance administration duties as required.
General Duties
- Ensure accurate and timely data entry for all transactions.
- Maintain strong working relationships with internal teams and external parties (
- Support a safe working environment and adhere to HSEQ (Health, Safety, Environment, Quality) standards.
- Proactively identify and resolve issues, escalating where necessary.
- Support a team learning environment and contribute to continuous improvement.
What You Bring
- No formal qualification required.
- Experience processing high-volume accounts in a similar-sized company.
- Demonstrated reconciliation, payment allocation, and data entry skills.
- Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
- Proficiency in MS Office (especially Excel and Outlook).
- Favourable Australian Police Clearance (required for finance positions).
Desirable
- Certificate III/IV in Accounts Administration or similar.
- Experience in a project-based or construction environment.
- Experience using JD Edwards (JDE) or other Oracle software.
