Are you hands-on, reliable and enjoy working outdoors? We’re looking for a Farm Attendant – Shore Duties to join our team at Hideaway Bay.
This is a hands-on role supporting our marine farming operations and helping keep our sites clean, safe, organised and running smoothly. From moving equipment and supplies between sites to supporting biosecurity, general maintenance and fish mortality management, no two days will look exactly the same.
What will you be doing?
- Maintaining clean, safe and well-organised work areas across our marine operations sites.
- Supporting strong biosecurity practices, including maintaining footbaths, monitoring site surroundings and ensuring appropriate disposal practices.
- Operating the ensiler for fish mortality disposal and maintaining accurate records.
- Transporting materials, equipment and resources between sites.
- Collecting and delivering supplies from local businesses, suppliers and other marine sites.
- Conducting visual inspections and assisting with chemical stock monitoring.
- Keeping machinery, equipment and site vehicles clean, maintained and in good working order.
- Performing general rope work, including splicing, and assisting with routine maintenance tasks.
- Supporting the wider Operations team with ad hoc duties as required.
- Working safely and proactively while adapting to changing operational priorities.
- Completing on water duties when required.
What are we looking for?
To be successful in this role, you will be someone who is reliable, practical and willing to get stuck in. You’ll be comfortable working independently, and flexible with start times to accommodate the workload.
You will have:
- Current Forklift Licence (essential).
- Crane Licence (desirable).
- The ability to work outdoors in a hands-on environment and adapt to different tasks and conditions.
- Strong organisational skills and attention to detail.
- Good communication skills and the confidence to coordinate with drivers, suppliers and site personnel.
- The ability to prioritise tasks, meet deadlines and respond to changing operational needs.
- A proactive approach to identifying risks and working safely.
- Confidence using digital tools for reporting and record keeping.
- A genuine commitment to safety, teamwork and continuous learning.
