Join our team as a Quality Assurance Officer and play a key role in maintaining the highest standards across our production site.

The Quality Assurance Officer plays a vital role in supporting the day-to-day Quality Assurance operations at our Parramatta Creek site, helping to ensure our products consistently meet the highest standards of food safety, quality, and compliance.

This opportunity is being offered as a maximum-term contract of up to two years, commencing as a full-time position for the first six months, with the possibility of extension and/or transition to a part-time arrangement based on business requirements. This is an excellent opportunity to build your capability in food safety, auditing, compliance, and continuous improvement within a fast-paced manufacturing environment.

What You'll Be Doing

As our Quality Assurance Officer, you will:

  • Conduct product, water, environmental, and hygiene testing activities.
  • Monitor and verify Critical Control Points (CCPs) and food safety requirements.
  • Carry out factory inspections, GMP checks, and internal audits.
  • Monitor hygiene, traceability, packaging, labelling, and cold chain compliance.
  • Maintain laboratory equipment and calibration records.
  • Investigate non-conformances and support customer complaint reviews and corrective actions.
  • Maintain HACCP documentation, quality records, and compliance reporting.
  • Lead or support hygiene meetings and quality improvement initiatives.
  • Provide coaching, training, and guidance to Production teams on quality and food safety standards.
  • Promote a strong culture of food safety, quality, continuous improvement, and Good Manufacturing Practices (GMPs) across the site.

What You'll Bring

  • Experience in Quality Assurance, food manufacturing, food processing, or a similar environment (preferred).
  • Sound knowledge of HACCP, GMP, and food safety management systems.
  • Strong attention to detail and a proactive approach to problem-solving.
  • Confidence conducting audits, inspections, testing, and compliance activities.
  • Excellent communication skills and the ability to influence and support operational teams.
  • Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage competing priorities.
  • Intermediate Microsoft Office skills, including Outlook, Word, Excel, and Teams.
  • A genuine commitment to food safety, quality, workplace safety, and continuous improvement.
