BIOLOGICAL SCIENCES DEPARTMENT, PART-TIME LECTURER POOL

The Biological Sciences Department in the College of Science at San José State University is accepting applications for a pool of part-time lecturers from our local geographic area. Positions available as determined by need during Fall, Winter, and/or Spring quarters of the 2020-21 academic year. Rank and salary are commensurate with qualifications, teaching experience, and time base. Responsibilities include teaching undergraduate and/or graduate courses in the Biological Sciences Department.

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS

  • Master's degree in Biological Sciences or related discipline is required.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

  • Terminal degree in Biological Sciences or related discipline preferred.

The Biological Sciences Department offers programs leading to Bachelor of Science degrees in Biological Sciences, Marine Sciences, and Microbiology; minors in Biology, Microbiology and Biotechnology; and a Master of Science degree. The department also offers courses to satisfy general education and breadth requirements.
