ICAP at Columbia University, a global health leader situated within the Columbia University Mailman School of Public Health in New York City, seeks highly qualified candidates to serve as Senior Human Resource Officer – Sierra Leone. The incumbent will be responsible to provide comprehensive human resources (HR) support for the Sierra Leone Population HIV Impact Assessment (SiLPHIA) survey. This survey, supported by the U.S. Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) and implemented with technical and management assistance from ICAP at Columbia University, is a collaborative effort involving the Ministry of Health (MoH), the National Public Health Agency (NPHA), and Statistics Sierra Leone (STAT SL).
Reporting to the SiLPHIA Project Director, the Senior HR Officer will oversee recruitment, onboarding, payroll processing, employee relations, and compliance with labor laws and organizational policies. This position is critical to ensuring a compliant, well-supported workforce that is aligned with the project’s goals and timelines, contributing to the successful implementation of the SiLPHIA survey.
ICAP seeks highly qualified and experienced candidates to fill the Senior Human Resource Officer position by 31st January 2025.The successful candidate will hold a Bachelors Degree in Human Resource Management or related field is required. A Master’s degree or professional certification in HR (e.g., CIPD, SHRM) is highly desirable. Minimum Five Years of experience in Human Resource Management preferably in a public health, international development, or large-scale survey project.
