ICAP at Columbia University, a global health leader situated within the Columbia University Mailman School of Public Health in New York City, seeks highly qualified candidates to serve as Pharmacy Event-Based Surveillance (PharmEBS) Officer (1 Position). This is an urgent position and applications will be reviewed as they come in closing on 30th January 2026.
The incumbents will be responsible for managing all technical aspects of ICAP’s program’s Pharmacy Event-Based Surveillance in Mombasa County (Changamwe / Port Reitz catchment area)

ICAP seeks highly qualified and experienced candidates to fill a Pharmacy Event-Based Surveillance (PharmEBS) Officer (1 Position) Short-term contract (ranging from 1-3 months, renewable subject to performance and funding.
Qualifications and Experience
Diploma or Degree in Pharmacy, Clinical Medicine, Public Health, Community Health, Nursing, Environmental Health, or related field.
Registration with a relevant professional body, where applicable.
At least 2–3 years’ experience in public health, disease surveillance, or community/facility-based programs.
Knowledge of IDSR EBS systems will be an added advantage.
Strong communication, reporting, and interpersonal skills.
The incumbent will have a demonstrated track record working on US Government-supported PEPFAR programs, including program planning, monitoring, and evaluation. The Pharmacy Event-Based Surveillance (PharmEBS) Officer will also have experience working effectively as a part of diverse staff teams and contributing to successful collaborations with donors, host-country ministries of health, and civil society.
