Job Summary: | This 12-month position will primarily be assigned to the Direct Entry MSN program and will teach in the classroom, online, and clinical settings that are located in Pensacola and Santa Rosa County. The position responsibilities include the use of technology in the classroom and online, and teaching students in a broad range of clinical settings that align with the faculty member’s expertise. This position may also teach in other School of Nursing programs as assigned. |

Minimum Qualifications: | Earned doctoral degree (PhD, EdD, DNP) in nursing, education, or health-related fields. Current unrestricted Florida license as an RN or eligible for licensure as a registered nurse in the State of Florida. Must have experience in clinical or professional practice and show promise of excellence in teaching, clinical supervision and/or direction, and professional productivity and service, including but not limited to clinical service. |
Position Qualifications: | Excellent verbal and written communication skills, including the ability to build successful relationships with students, colleagues, the healthcare community, and other stakeholders. Strong computer skills using web-based applications and Microsoft Office. |
Preferred Qualifications | Experience teaching pre-licensure students in the classroom and clinical setting. The ability to incorporate evidence-based teaching strategies for higher education into course delivery. Familiarity with the American Association of Colleges of Nursing Essentials: Core Competencies for Professional Nursing Education and NCLEX preparation. Experience with curriculum development at the undergraduate and graduate level. |
