Mater Mother’s Hospital is excited to be offering a talented Obstetrician and Gynaecologist an opportunity to be part of our services across South Brisbane and Springfield on a Part-Time basis with a start date (provisional): September 2024 to Feb 2025.

Salary: Commensurate with experience plus superannuation and access to not-for-profit salary packaging up to $15,900

What you’ll be doing

We are specifically looking for a specialist candidate who is interested in providing care to both public obstetric and gynaecology patients and privately funded women having maternity care provided through Mater’s own low risk private maternity care model. Although this is a temporary role, the successful candidate will be supported through the transition to their own private practice at Mater in the future.

Importantly the successful candidate who works collaboratively with medical, midwifery, allied health, and non-clinician colleagues to help us deliver consistent, evidence-based, high-value healthcare.  Mater Specialists are actively involved in teaching residents and registrars and measuring and improving healthcare service delivery through activities such as inter-disciplinary education, team-based and technical simulation, clinical audit, safety and quality activities and research.

About you

Essential:

•        Specialist Registration with AHPRA

•        FRANZCOG (or equivalent)

Clinical / Technical Competencies

•        Consistent with RANZCOG statement c-Gen-19 “Attributes of a RANZCOG Fellow”
