About the role

Mater Private Hospital Brisbane currently has an opportunity for a Clinical Nurse to join the team within the Haematology and Oncology ward on a permanent part time basis working 64 hours per fortnight.

Salary range: $54.21 - $58.08 (Registered Nurse Level 2) per hour plus superannuation & salary packaging

What you’ll be doing

Whilst maintaining the highest level of clinical standards for the unit you will be responsible for:

  • Achieving optimal patient outcomes throughout the patient journey and the continuum of care
  • Maintaining current knowledge and skills to ensure continued professional growth.
  • Supporting the Nurse Unit Manager in implementing strategies to ensure that quality and risk management are integrated into service provision.

About you

To be considered for this position, you must have:

  • Minimum of 4+ years post graduate experience in oncology or haematology
  • Leadership and team leader experience
  • Post graduate Diploma or higher (desirable)
  • Current AHPRA nursing registration as a Registered Nurse (no restrictions)
  • Comprehensive assessment skills
  • Demonstrated ability to plan and facilitate management and workloads.
  • Strong knowledge of continuous improvement process, coupled with the proven ability to initiate, coordinate and evaluate quality improvement measures.
