Expressions of interest are sought from experienced Registered Nurses with relevant experience to provide leave relieve in the position of CNC Gynae Oncology in AOPS, for a period of five weeks, on a fulltime (part time will be considered) basis commencing 30th September – 1st November

The CNC in Gynae Oncology is fundamental to patient care for women diagnosed with gynaecological cancers from diagnosis and throughout the patient journey.  This fixed term nursing position will support the Gynae Oncology service in providing expert clinical care.  This is an exciting opportunity for an enthusiastic nurse to develop specialist nursing skills in the are of Gynae Oncological nursing.

Salary range: $61.67 - $69.22 per hour plus superannuation and access to not-for-profit salary packaging up to $15,900

What you’ll be doing

The successful candidate will be responsible for:

  • Providing specialty specific support and resources to staff
  • Liaising with the Multidisciplinary Team to ensure consistent patient outcomes between the various streams 
  • Providing high quality patient care and education for patients and their families throughout their care journey
  • Collaborating with other health professionals to provide safe patient care.
  • Establishes priorities for resolution of identified health needs in consultation with the patient or group of patients.
  • Screening patients for eligibility to participate in research studies and trials
  • Actively participating in Nursing Portfolios – Specialty specific and CSQU Audit Schedule

About you

To be considered for this role you will have:

  • Minimum of five years’ relevant nursing experience
  • Current registration as Registered Nurse with the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA)
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Demonstrated clinical leadership skills, organisational skills and problem-solving skills
  • Demonstrated commitment to professional development of yourself and others
  • Demonstrated experience working with an interdisciplinary team
  • Previous Gynaecology/ Gynae - Oncology experience is advantageous & highly desirable
