About the role

Mater is currently seeking enthusiastic and experienced Project Support Officer to join the team within the, Clinical Redesign, Innovation and SWiM team at Mater Mothers Hospital

This position is available on a full term contract basis until June 2025. The successful applicant must have flexibility between the hours of 07:00am – 5:30pm.

The core function of the role is to provide administrative and project support to the CMC Clinical Redesign and partner with the business to support new, ongoing and future process improvements, innovations and service delivery.

The role works closely with the Clinical and Administration Teams at Mater Mothers and will be responsible for managing resources, training, process mapping and monitoring key performance criteria to meet business needs and growth.

Salary range: MCA4 $43.31 - $47.71 per hour plus 11.5% superannuation and access to not-for-profit salary packaging up to $15,900  + access to many staff benefits! 

What you’ll be doing

As a Project Support Officer and your role will involve but not limited to:

  • Project Coordination: Efficiently coordinate project activities, ensuring tasks are completed on time and within budget. 
  • Stakeholder Management: Foster positive relationships with project stakeholders, ensuring effective communication and collaboration. 
  • Reporting and Documentation: Prepare accurate and timely project reports, including progress updates, risk assessments, and milestone achievements. 
  • Quality Assurance: Implement quality control processes and ensure project deliverables meet established standards and requirements. 
  • Knowledge Management: Capture and share lessons learned, best practices, and project documentation to improve future project delivery. 
  • Continuous Improvement: Identify opportunities for process improvement, streamline project workflows, and drive efficiency gains. 
  • Training and Support: Provide guidance and support to project team members, ensuring they have the necessary skills and knowledge to perform their roles effectively. 

About you

To be successful in this role, you will demonstrate:

  • At least 3 years’ experience in providing high level administration.  Hospital/outpatient experience is highly desirable
  • Highly developed time management and organisational skills
  • Strong computer and data entry skills including MS Office suite and hospital administration systems
  • Dynamic, positive and outcome focused
  • Ability to work both independently and cooperatively as part of the team
  • Strong communication skills
