About the role

Mater Private Hospital Townsville are seeking applications join either our Housekeeping or Food Services team. To be considered you must have availability to work across all shifts. Shifts ranging from 6:45AM – 8:30PM Monday – Sunday. The successful applicants will be offered either Casual or Permanent Part Time employment.

Salary range: $30.48 - $33.05 per hour plus superannuation plus 25% Casual Loading and access to salary packaging up to $15,900 annually

What you'll be doing

The Housekeeping Assistant is responsible for efficiently undertaking daily cleaning, housekeeping, and linen requirements of the hospital in line with work health and safety standards. The Housekeeping Assistant is required to work at the Pimlico Campus, Hyde Park Campus, Ross River Road Corporate Offices and all annexes of the hospital, including hospital accommodation units.

The Food Services Assistants are responsible for providing highest standards of service to our patients and service partners, this is a fast-paced environment best suited to candidates with a strong team focus who enjoy work that is diverse and requires the prioritisation of tasks. This role provide opportunity to work across both of our Pimlico and Hyde Park Campuses.

About you

To be considered suitable for our Housekeeping position you will have:

• Awareness of the importance of hygiene in all aspects of cleaning and housekeeping duties
• Knowledge of cleaning procedures and chemicals
• Previous experience working in a hospital setting ( desirable)
• Demonstrated commitment to the provision of quality customer service
• Demonstrated ability to communicate clearly and work as part of a team

To be considered suitable for our Food Services Assistant position you will have:

• Food Handlers Certificate – or willing to obtain one
• Previous experience in a commercial kitchen or food services
• An understanding of Infection Control Guidelines and willingness to learn
• Demonstrated commitment to the provision of quality customer service
• Demonstrated ability to communicate clearly and work as part of a team
