Mater Social Work and Psychology is looking for a Senior Psychologist – Clinical Educator. This role is 0.2 FTE (1 day per week) and based at our South Brisbane campus.

Salary range: $61.81 - $66.48 per hour plus 11.5% superannuation and access to not-for-profit salary packaging up to $15,900  + access to many staff benefits! 

What you’ll be doing

The Senior Psychologist - Clinical Educator is responsible for supporting and coordinating the provision of clinical supervision, training and education to students, new graduates and their supervisors across Mater Psychology Services.  This strategic position works alongside Psychology staff and leadership to support the strategic agenda for Mater Health and the Psychology discipline related to building the skills, knowledge and expertise of the current and future Psychology workforce.   

About you

You will have a general registration as a Psychologist with the Psychology Board of Australia (PsyBA) / Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA) and a current annual practising certificate.

  • Applicants must have or be able to evidence working towards PsyBA approved supervisor status.
  • While not mandatory, area of Practice endorsement would be highly regarded. 
  • Demonstrated high level knowledge and application of professional standards, policies and guidelines in relation to supervision and professional training for Psychology.
  • Evidence of clinical leadership, mentorship and supervision within a psychology team.
  • Proven experience and ability to work effectively in a multidisciplinary team, establish priorities, exercise initiative and deliver outputs within agreed timeframes
  • Demonstrated ability to communicate effectively, contribute to decision making and address conflict with profession and multidisciplinary teams, patients, carers and other stakeholders
