About the role
The Hatch Private Maternity Services team currently has an opportunity available for an Endorsed Midwife to join the team. This position will be offered in a permanent part-time basis 8 hours per week. The Hatch model enables Endorsed midwives to provide antenatal and postnatal care in collaboration with a team of Obstetricians at Mater Mothers Hospital.
Antenatal and postnatal appointments are shared between endorsed midwives and obstetricians. All Hatch babies are born at Mater Mothers’ Private Brisbane, Australia’s largest private maternity facility. Women are cared for in labour by the MMH Birth Suite midwives and the obstetrician attends the birth.
Salary range: $41.47 - $53.30 per hour plus 11.5% superannuation and access to not-for-profit salary packaging up to $15,900 + access to many staff benefits!
What you’ll be doing
This role requires an enthusiastic and dedicated midwife to provide exceptional midwifery care in a private maternity outpatient clinic setting, proficiency in coordinating, assessing, risk management and communication within a multidisciplinary framework. About you
To be considered for this role, the successful applicant must have:
- Current registration with APHRA, including Midwifery endorsement
- Significant postgraduate experience in midwifery
- Evidence of continuing educational and professional development
- Demonstrated ability to role model the Mater values
You will also have excellent communication skills, evidence of collaborative care, be hard working, self-directed, enthusiastic, and approachable and display both initiative and a high level of motivation.
