About the role
The Mater Hospital Administration team has an opportunity available for an experienced Senior Administration Officer to join the Survivorship team which works in alignment with Mater Cancer Care Centre (MCCC).
We have a maximum term full time position available until 30th June 2025 based at Mater’s South Brisbane Campus.
Salary range: $38.81 per hour plus 11.5% superannuation and access to not-for-profit salary packaging up to $15,900 + access to many staff benefits!
What you’ll be doing
The Survivorship clinic is a pilot program that Mater Hospital is running in alignment with our Cancer Care team. The focus is on models of care which can support our patients in their journey. In this pilot program, you are the primary Senior Administration Officer and your role will involve but not limited to:
- Providing Exceptional Customer Service to patient and clients
- Providing administrative support to clinical and medical staff
- Day to day processing and management of referrals, waitlists, appointment, contacting and customer service for these patients
- Very strong communication skills and initiative
- Maintain a high level of discretion and confidentiality, complying with administration, and financial policy and procedures, maintaining accurate, current, and accessible files, including maintenance of records of relevant meetings and discussions
- Provide administrative assistance to other senior staff and others as requested
- Exercise judgement where necessary to solve immediate problems in situations where precedents have not been set and procedures not defined
- Maintaining and meeting multiple KPI’s daily
About you
- Proven experience working in a team within the Medical/Healthcare profession desirable
- The ability to balance conflicting demands within tight timeframes
- Ability to maintain composure and positivity in times of change
- Demonstrated ability to operate both in a team environment and autonomously using initiative, sound reasoning and strong listening and decision-making skills
- Deliver a patient centric approach and have a passion for delivering an exceptional experience
- Possess excellent written, verbal and communication skills
- Have a naturally inquisitive nature and drive to understand processes and systems
- Display strong attention to detail, with the ability to analyse information to identify problems and develop appropriate solutions
