About the role
Mater Pharmacy has an exciting opportunity for a Community Pharmacist to join our Community Pharmacy team in a part-time 22.5-hour per week position as part of our Mater Public and Private Hospital Community Pharmacy team located on Raymond Terrace and Vulture Street South Brisbane.
Mater Health Services Southeast Queensland consists of a distinct network of two public hospitals and four private hospitals located in South Brisbane, Springfield, and Redland, providing care to over 500,000 patients annually.
The Community Pharmacy team operates from three unique locations at the Mater South Brisbane campus and cares for community patients in addition to hospital outpatients. Community based professional services are a focal point with Minfos in combination with Medadvisor used to optimise patient care levels.
Our diverse customer base includes private and public patients, their family members, visitors, and Mater staff. This role offers a pharmacist invaluable exposure to a dynamic community setting, equipping the successful candidate with specialised skills that will enhance their value in the evolving pharmacy landscape.
Salary range: $39.86 – $58.59 per hour plus 11.5% superannuation and access to not-for-profit salary packaging up to $15,900 + access to many staff benefits!
What you’ll be doing
In this role you will be responsible for:
- Delivering a consistent high level of pharmacy service to patients of Mater Health utilising your clinical knowledge, skills and expertise.
- The provision of high-quality services for optimising the medication related outcomes for patients.
- If qualified, administering vaccinations in accordance with the National Immunisation Program Vaccination’s in Pharmacy Program, state-based vaccination programs and privately funded vaccination services.
- Utilising applications including MedAdvisor to record and claim for professional service delivery.
- Working three days per week or more with Monday to Friday roster options available.
About you
To be considered for this role you must have:
- Bachelor of Pharmacy
- AHPRA registration to practice as a Pharmacist (with no restrictions)
- Completed Approved Immunisation Training Program is desirable.
- Hold a First Aid/ CPR Certification (HLTAID009 [1 year expiry], HLTAID010 [3-year expiry], HLTAID011 [3-year expiry]) is desirable.
- Competency with Minfos and MedAdvisor software is desirable.
- Completion, commencement, or interest in completing the Graduate Certificate of Advanced Practice and Prescribing to support full scope of practice services is desirable.
You will also demonstrate a professional attitude, effective communication skills and a high level of attention to detail.
