About the role
Mater requires an experienced and committed Community Occupational Therapist to join our Mater at Home team, until 30th June 2026, on a fixed term basis based at the South Brisbane campus.
The purpose of the role is to deliver quality clinical Occupational Therapy community assessment and intervention to the Mater at Home adult client population, as part of a multidisciplinary team.
Specifically, you will be providing OT service delivery for adult clients funded under schemes such as the My Aged Care (CHSP), Home Care Packages, and Post-Acute Care clients in the community.
You will have access to a fleet car, mobile phone, and laptop.
This role will directly report to the Mater at Home Occupational Therapy Team Lead and indirectly to the Director of Mater at Home.
Salary range: $39.86 - $58.59 hour plus 11.5% superannuation and access to not-for-profit salary packaging up to $15,900 + access to many staff benefits!
What you’ll be doing
In this Clinical role, you will be responsible for but not limited to:
- Delivering competent-to complex-level occupational therapy services to adults in the community (which includes assessments, goal setting, prescription of assistive technology, home modifications)
- Applying increasingly independent clinical judgement under the professional guidance of a senior clinician and modifying standard clinical practices to manage social and environmental constraints
- Working cooperatively and effectively within a large, supportive, multidisciplinary team
- Managing a workload utilising effective time management and prioritisation skills for clinical and non-clinical responsibilities
- Meeting achievable KPI targets for productivity, quality, safety, and client satisfaction
- Committing to client safety and quality in the delivery of healthcare by actively participating in safety and quality improvement practices
- Engaging in professional development activities as per professional registration standards
About you
Essential
- A tertiary degree in Occupational Therapy
- Accredited practitioner with Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA)
- Current open or provisional driver’s licence, valid for use in Queensland
- Current, or ability to obtain, NDIS Worker Screening Check (yellow card)
- Current, or ability to obtain, Working with Children Check (blue card)
- Demonstrated occupational therapy experience working within a community and / or disability environment
