About the role
Mater Health is looking for a After Hours Nurse Manager to join the team! This part time, 12-month maximum term (20 hours per week) leave coverage position is based at our Springfield campus. The scheduling flexibility allows for hours to be distributed among multiple team members.
The After-Hours Nursing/Midwifery Manager (AHNM) will focus on clinical and operational leadership, the AHNM ensures high-quality patient care and efficient resource management. Responsible for patient flow and emergency response, the AHNM upholds the highest standards of nursing practice.
Salary range: $66.85 - $72.58 per hour plus 11.5% superannuation and access to not-for-profit salary packaging up to $15,900 + access to many staff benefits!
What you’ll be doing
The After-Hours Nursing/Midwifery Manager (AHNM) primary responsibilities will include:
- Ensure high quality patient care through advanced clinical skills and collaboration
- Manage resources to achieve budget and service delivery targets
- Coordinate emergency response activities and maintain safe work practices
- Accountable for financial management, compliance, and risk mitigation
- Provide education and support to patients and families
- Promote interprofessional leadership and collaboration
- Utilize high-level interpersonal and communication skills
- Foster a culture of engagement and continuous improvement within the team
About you
The successful candidate will have a current AHPRA registration and a tertiary qualification in specialty (or working towards). You will also meet the below criteria:
- Minimum of five years full time experience in specific clinical specialty
- Experience with Microsoft Word, Excel, Trendcare, KRONOS, ShiftMatch
- High-level interpersonal, written, and verbal communications skills with the ability to engage with internal stakeholders at various levels to achieve
