About the Role

Mater Private Hospital Mackay are seeking expressions of interest from internal Registered Nurses to step up into an After Hours Manger role in a relief capacity.

This position would suit a highly skilled Registered Nurse, who is ready to take the next step in their career.

The role requires a high attention to detail and someone who is comfortable in leading and managing the daily operation within a team.

Salary Range: $66.85 - $72.58 per hour plus 11.5% superannuation and access to not-for-profit salary packaging up to $15,900 + access to many staff benefits! 

 What you’ll be doing

The After Hours Nurse Manager is responsible for:

• Supporting/mentoring staff to achieve the desired patient outcomes.
• Safe, efficient, effective management of the facility along with providing leadership and oversight to clinical areas outside business hours. 
• Escalating as necessary to the Leadership Team member on call.
• Managing and allocating resources that are aligned to patient demand and budget allocations

About you

To be successful in your application, you will have:

• Current registration with the Australian Health Practitioners Regulation Agency (AHPRA) relevant to the necessary scope of practice
• Minimum five (5) years of clinical experience across critical care environment
• Current Advanced Life Support (ALS) and PLS certification or willingness to obtain
• Knowledge and experience of the facility requirements and standards
• Prior comparable experience in a leadership/supervisory role in a healthcare environment
• Postgraduate qualifications in nursing Critical Care- ICU, CCU or ED
• Demonstrated analytical and report-writing skills
• Demonstrated leadership, human resource and business skills
