About the role
Catherine’s House has an exciting position for a Private Practice Manager to join the team in an initial 12-month maximum term contract working part-time (3-4 days a week).
You will play a key role in the delivery and leadership of exceptional administrative service and support to Mater patients. You will provide specialised knowledge in administration tasks and provide guidance and front line care alongside of the administration staff in Catherine's House and Emotional Health Unit whilst managing day to day operational requirements.
Catherine’s House is Australia’s first integrated mother and baby unit. The Service provides perinatal mental health and infant mental health in an integrated model of care providing specialist care with families. The Service also compromises of an integrated intake service, specialist mental health outpatient programs and services, parenting support services and day programs.
Salary range: $45.81 - $50.46 per hour plus 11.5% superannuation and access to not-for-profit salary packaging up to $15,900 + access to many staff benefits!
What you’ll be doing
- Oversee the delivery of services across Private Practice in Catherine's House, Emotional Health Unit and other mental health services as they emerge
- Support and proactively plan private practice with the front line administration team alongside the Administration Manager
- Recruit, onboard, lead, coach and provide feedback to new practitioners
- Manage and develop strategies to address issues, conflicts and facilitate the establishment of a contemporary multidisciplinary private practice
- Implement effective service objectives
- Coordinate and determine priorities and timelines to establish integrated systems across mental health private practice
- Lead the development and implementation of contemporary practice management systems
- Facilitate the onboarding of private practitioners
- Coordinate event management for professional development activities
- Use advanced technological systems that promote efficient administration systems including billing, scheduling and engagement with practitioners
- Effectively embed change management practices across private and public administration systems with integration of administration roles to support a high-quality service
- Provide high level of administrative advice to stakeholders
- Responsible for coordinating the effective delivery and sustainability of private practice within the allocated budget
- Contribute to the strategic decision making and identify operational opportunities for improved financial outcomes
About you
- Previous experience working in a complex and busy clinical service that delivers both private and public mental health care
- Leads with initiative and proactive management to support multidisciplinary care within a busy and complex work environment
- High level office and administration systems management skills and strong attention to detail
- Financial acumen and detailed knowledge of health-related funding arrangements and terminology
- Ability to be agile, flexible, resilient and able to balance conflicting demands across services
- Strong decision-making skills and ability to use initiative
- Patient centric approach
- Experience utilising contemporary practice management software systems or willingness to learn
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to coach and support team members through conflict resolution processes
