Mater Foundation has a maximum-term (12 months), part-time (22.8 hours per week) opportunity for a Supporter Care Administrator based in our purpose-built offices in Newstead.
This is an exciting opportunity for someone with extensive customer service experience to join our in-house Supporter Care team, where you’ll play a key role in shaping how we connect with our community of supporters. You’ll help ensure that every interaction—whether over the phone, by email, or online—leaves supporters feeling heard, valued, and genuinely appreciated for their individual contribution.

What you’ll be doing
Mater Foundation’s role is to conduct long-term fundraising programs which enable people to exercise their philanthropy in whatever form and capacity they are able. We do this in order to provide value adding funding for health, education, and research programs in healthcare at Mater; advancing the prevention and treatment of disease and improving the quality of life for people across our community.
Reporting to the Supporter Services Manager, your duties will include but not limited to:
- Action and manage supporter queries across multiple channels including phone, email, mail, web and social media including escalated queries
- Develop and implement process improvements where supporter insights and feedback are sought, captured, and used to develop and enhance our fundraising programs
- Assist program managers in delivering supporter engagement activities to enhance and recognise supporter philanthropy e.g., thanking donors for their generous donations, , responding to fundraising event questions, clarifying supporter information with lottery supporters
- Assist program managers to test and refine lottery or fundraising strategies e.g., seek supporter feedback on new product design or test telemarketing scripting
- Other administration duties as required
- Conduct outbound and follow-up calls to engage and build relationships with participants, high-value donors, and lottery VIPs—offering personalised service and recognising their support
About you
To be successful in this role, you will bring exceptional verbal and written communication skills, a proactive and solutions-focused mindset, and the ability to think strategically delivering results while bringing energy, initiative, and care to every supporter interaction.
You will also possess the following:
- Extensive experience in customer service or contact centre environments, with a solid grasp of customer care principles, key metrics, systems, and best-practice processes
- A continuous improvement approach, listening to supporter feedback, always seeking new ways to refine workflows, uplift engagement, and improve outcomes
- Customer centric approach – innate ability to view and test what we are doing through a “supporter lens”
- Sound judgment and strong problem-solving skills, with the ability to assess and respond to real-time issues while maintaining a positive tone
- Act as conduit between supporters and program managers – work closely with and influence program managers to seek and advocate supporter needs, so we can enhance overall supporter experience
- Proven demonstrated knowledge and experience of customer experience and operational expertise (i.e., complaint handling, workflows) is highly advantageous
