About the role
Mater’s Group Finance Team has an exciting opportunity for a Finance Analyst to join the team in this full time, maximum term 9-month contract based at Newstead.
The Finance Analyst plays a key role in supporting financial data integrity, governance, and process improvements within Mater’s procure to pay function. This role focuses on process improvement, system optimisation and financial controls to enhance reporting, compliance, and operational efficiency. Assisting in optimising end to end procure to pay processes, ensuring best practice with appropriate governance and controls.
Salary range: $53.24 - $57.93 per hour plus 11.5% superannuation and access to not-for-profit salary packaging up to $15,900 + access to many staff benefits!
What you’ll be doing
Reporting to the Business Analyst, the Finance Analyst will collaborate with all stakeholders in the procure to pay processes, strengthen governance frameworks, and support system functionality changes within the ERP system (D365).
- Analyse and document procure-to-pay processes for improvement
- Evaluate financial data to support decision-making in procurement
- Recommend process improvements for procure-to-pay
- Manage stakeholder relationships across the organisation
- Ensure data integrity throughout procure-to-pay processes
- Support system changes in procure-to-pay
- Develop reports and KPIs to monitor process impacts and aid decision-making
- Assist in developing governance frameworks for data accuracy and compliance
About you
The ideal candidate will have experience in supporting transformation or system implementation projects and minimum 2-4 years’ experience in finance analytics and/or procure-to-pay experience.
- Proficiency in data analysis tools like Visio, Excel, Power BI
- Experience with ERP systems (e.g., SAP, D365) is an advantage
- Bachelor's degree in Finance, Business, Information Systems, or related field, desirable
- Attention to detail in data and process analysis
- Strong analytical and critical thinking skills
- Effective verbal and written communication
- Ability to collaborate with stakeholders for change and improvements
