About the role

Mater at Home is seeking a highly motivated and experienced Clinical Nurse to join our team on a 6-month Maximum term basis.

The Mater at Home Clinical Nurse is a dynamic and self-directed role providing advanced clinical competency to patients. Nursing services, which include Hospital in the Home (HITH), operate to deliver hospital-level care in the safety and comfort of a person’s residence. Using extensive experience, this role is responsible for the coordination and delivery of acute and post-acute care in the community. The successful applicant will work across Mater at Home portfolios as needed.

Salary range: $54.44 - $58.30 per hour plus 11.5% superannuation and access to not-for-profit salary packaging up to $15,900  + access to many staff benefits! 

What you’ll be doing

  • Achieving optimal patient outcomes throughout the patient journey and continuum of care
  • Demonstrating exceptional clinical expertise and knowledge of procedures and the management of patients within the community
  • Working collaboratively with the nursing team to provide exceptional care every time
  • Maintaining current knowledge and skills to ensure continued professional growth
  • Providing the team leader role and direct patient care
  • Supporting or leading quality and Safety activities
  • Demonstrate high-level problem-solving skills and time management

About you

Essential

  • Current AHPRA nursing registration as a Registered Nurse (no restrictions)
  • Current open driver’s license
  • At least 3 years’ experience as a Registered Nurse
  • Previous experience as a Clinical Nurse/Team Leader
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skill and the ability to liaise with a variety of different stakeholders both internally and externally at various levels
  • Demonstrated ability to operate in a team environment and autonomously using initiative, sound reasoning and strong listening, negotiation, and decision-making skills
  • Strong attention to detail and organisational skills
  • Commitment to ensuring a responsive and streamline HITH service is always delivered to patients.
