About the role
Mater Mother’s Hospital Neonatal Critical Care Unit is seeking applications from an enthusiastic and professional Assistant in Nursing (AIN) to support our exceptional neonatal nursing team. This position will be offered on a permanent full-time or part-time basis.
Salary range: $33.20 - $36.35 per hour plus 11.5% superannuation and access to not-for-profit salary packaging up to $15,900 + access to many staff benefits!
What you’ll be doing
You play a crucial part in maintaining the provision of expert care by completing role specific tasks that ensure smooth operation of the unit. Your responsibilities will include, but are not limited to, managing stock, restocking equipment in patient care rooms, cleaning cot spaces, equipment and cots. Your enthusiasm and skills will see you seamlessly integrate into this outstanding team, assisting to provide an exceptional level of care and to hit-the-ground-running.
Please note, this is not a patient-facing position; however this role is essential to provide support to our nursing staff and maintaining a supporting flow throughout the unit.
About you
To be considered for this position, you will have:
- Certificate III in Health Services Assistance or higher
- Exceptional communication, problem solving and negotiation skills
- Ability to collaborate effectively with other health professionals, patients and relatives/carers
- Skills to assist with the management of stock (including computer skills)
- An enthusiastic and motivated attitude
- Previous experience as a Health Service Assistant in an acute care setting
